“Sundays are for lovers, I’m here missing mine”
“Time flows in a strange way on Sundays.” Those are the words of Japanese writer Haruki Murakami.
No better words have been said to better explain the perfection that is Sunday.
My grandmother always said that Sundays are for lovers. Now that I am much older to understand the beauty of those words, I sit here missing my love.
So I thought in his absence, I would run a hot bath and just soak up all the stress of this past week. A pamper day has been much needed anyhow, today seemed like an appropriate day for one.
My skincare routine hasn’t changed from the one I’ve posted on my YouTube, so you know I used my stable seaweed mask from the body shop.
I lighted some scented candles, even had an air diffuser in the room for drastic measures and just quietly slid into the hot water and let it swallow me whole. There’s something quite magical about taking a bath, it’s a similar feeling like standing in the rain after a day of many defeats; all the pain and failures of the week just seemed to melt away.
“Rain will wash away everything if you let it.” – Sarah Kay.
I rubbed coconut oil all over my body and went about to make a late breakfast. And as I munch away on that, and writing this post at the same time, phone in my hand telling a certain someone I miss him, a smile creeps on my face, and everything doesn’t seem so bad after all.
Hope you all have a lovely week.
