Last week I had the most amazing opportunity to travel to Kasane. Seeing how it’s been a destination on my list of places to see, I couldn’t pass down the offer.
We drove from the capital city Gaborone, and those who are local with know that I’m talking about a 1000km journey.
Naturally I didn’t mind; I would take any excuse to leave the busy city. The road trip journey proved to be more beneficial than I thought… my mind was released from stress and over working.
My level of excitement hit the roof when we spotted our first elephant just after Nata.
And as if my elation wasn’t transparent enough, more of these majestic creatures walked around unawares of our eyes and cameras on them.
We arrived in Kasane just after 12pm. Admittedly coming here during the rainy seasons wasn’t quite ideal because most of the animals are deep in the bush. Nonetheless, on a boat cruise, we saw a lot more animals, despite the rain drizzling down.
With restaurants built within the hotels and lodges offering game meat, you will never need to search for anything more.
All in all i’m glad for the opportunity to see this beautiful place. I can’t wait to share more #TravelBotswana posts with you all.
