A lot about style and fashion comes down to everyone’s individualistic personality. We are so good at associating bright colours with a happy soul, but rarely ever consider the multitude of other things that pin down exactly what makes each person different.
I’ve loved clothes for as long as I can remember. And in the shelter of my own room as a kid, with a pair of scissors in hand, I was crafting up some new retro way I could transform my old childish clothes into something new and edgy. At the time, my bewildered grandmother never quite understood why my fingers always itched to be cutting up and sewing together old pieces into new things, but she now tells everyone how she knew from then, that I would end up in this line of business, cutting up fabric still.
I daresay much has changed since I was a pre teen imagining being a designer. That’s still one of my many wishes. Finding my sense of style and clothing that fit me well wasn’t a journey I can particularly say I enjoyed. As impatient as I get, I always envisioned a life of just being able to throw on any old thing and having it sit perfectly on my waist and hug my hips just the right amount. But it’s never quite that simple, is it?
Hence, the blog. I started this blog to find my style. I wanted to experiment and explore fashion beyond my comfort zone. I want to test limits and push boundaries, to go above and beyond to find a place where I can comfortably call my happy zone of style.
That being said, from the clumsiest girl in the world, who is wearing this all white outfit on a Sunday to brunch, let us be messy and not give a flying crap. Because after all, it’s called PERSONAL style for a reason.
